Pull away the veil and what are you left with?

Who wants transparency when you can have magic? Who wants prose when you can have poetry? Pull away the veil and what are you left with? An ordinary young woman of modest ability and little imagination. But wrap her up like this, anoint her with oil, and hey, presto, what do you have? A goddess. (A Quote from "The Crown").

Our world has become so informal! We have lost something so precious and that is our dignity and worth!

Recently my husband and I went on vacation and we went to several 5-star restaurants and we were amazed at how informal people were dressed. Despite the high level of service and the atmosphere of excellence the establishments provided people were extremely casual in their dress and demeanor.

As I consider the times in which we live, it is apparent we have lost honor, dignity, and respect for ourselves and one another. Everything has become common. In a world were there are no standards, people have nothing to strive for and, therefore everything is RIGHT IN THEIR OWN EYES!

As a child I was taught to carry myself like a lady. I was taught to dress appropriately for whatever situation I found myself in. I honored those above me, my peers and those coming after me. These standards gave me something to reach for ; a means by which to measure my character.

As I watch our government interact with one another I am appalled and alarmed by their complete disrespect for one another. We do not as a nation honor the highest office in our land- no wonder the world laughs and scoffs at us! It didn't begin with President Trump. This has been going on for decades!

What is your standard for living? How do you measure your character growth? For me, and what I have taught my family is to exemplify the life the Great Creator, God Almighty has placed in you.

God created us in His likeness and image- So who is God? He is Excellent, He is Holy (set apart), He is Majestic, He is Glorious, He is Gracious, He is Kind, He is Long Suffering... In Galatians 5:22-23 Paul lists nine specific behaviors – love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – that are the result of the work of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life. These are the fruit that we bear witness to as sons of God. This is my measuring stick!

It is apparent that the world has been awakened and they are seeking "A Way". We are in the midst of a spiritual revolution, I liken it to the American Revolution- A battle for the hearts and minds of mankind-the very soul of mankind. If you are a son of the Most High, as Kingdom Citizens we have a great opportunity to bring The Great I AM, The Great Creator, God Almighty on the scene and show the world THIS IS THE WAY WALK YE IN IT!

If you want to know the purpose and the designed use of a thing you go back to the one who created it, right? I have seen a teapot used as a flower pot and although it was pretty , the teapot was not living out its designed purpose. Let's GO BACK to the one who created us and get the blueprint for our lives. King David, in reference to knowing how to properly handle the Ark of the Covenant, the Presence of God, went back to find the due order. We must go back and find our due order!

We were created for greatness! We were not created to live a lesser life. My prayer after seeing the state of our nation is THY KINGDOM COME; THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!
